An emerging community
You shouldn't have to navigate a purpose-driven career alone.
I'm developing a gathering space for women and mothers working in conservation, ecology, and environmental fields — a place for honest conversation, practical career support, sustained relationships, shared adventures, and the questions that are usually too complicated for a panel.
Why this needs to exist
Most professional spaces for this field are built around the technical work — the science, the strategy, the grant cycle. Women and mothers in conservation are asking for something adjacent to that but rarely offered alongside it: sustained relationships, honest career advice, a sounding board that doesn't require having it all figured out first, and support structures that actually account for caregiving instead of treating it as a scheduling inconvenience.
This isn't fully built yet. What follows is the working shape of it — worth telling you honestly, rather than presenting it as more finished than it is.
What it could include

Consistent virtual gatherings with enough structure to feel purposeful, not just another call
Honest discussion of work stressors, without the professional gloss
Anonymous questions or sounding-board opportunities
Interview and career guidance, and support after you land the role
Resources for entering, re-entering, or pivoting into the field
Honest conversations about compensation and financial security
Support navigating discrimination, named directly rather than euphemized
Shared stories — the challenges and the wins, both
Ways to connect locally, plus periodic adventures or in-person gatherings
Child-inclusive activities, and gatherings planned with childcare and food actually considered
A structure built for reconnecting over time, not constantly meeting someone new once
